The Chief Magistrate’s Court situated in Gulu has formally ordered the remand of Dr. Lina Zedriga, a prominent political leader within the National Unity Platform (NUP). Dr. Zedriga, who holds the significant position of Deputy President for the Northern Uganda region, has been committed to Gulu Main Prison. Her detention at the correctional facility is slated to continue until Tuesday, February 24, 2026. This extended period of remand has been granted by the court specifically to afford the State additional and necessary time.
