These party members had approached the court with the explicit intention of challenging and ultimately overturning the results and resolutions stemming from the party’s highly controversial National Delegates Conference. This pivotal conference, which generated considerable debate and internal friction within the party, was convened and held in Mbarara City during the previous year. The court’s decision effectively upholds the outcomes of that contentious gathering, bringing a legal conclusion to the challenge mounted by the dissenting faction.
