This positive development marks a crucial step forward in public health efforts within the region, according to comprehensive data.This encouraging information has been meticulously compiled and analyzed, reflecting statistics gathered comprehensively up to the close of September this year. The official confirmation of this positive trend comes directly from the Acting District Health Officer, Mr. James Asiimwe. Speaking on the matter, Mr. Asiimwe provided detailed insights into the district’s health performance, underscoring the efforts made in combating the spread of the virus.Delving into the preceding year’s statistics, Mr. Asiimwe highlighted the extensive screening efforts undertaken in 2024. During that period, a substantial number of residents, specifically 47,285 individuals, underwent HIV testing across various health facilities and outreach programs within Kibaale District. Out of this significant testing cohort, a total of 380 individuals were confirmed to be HIV positive. These figures from 2024 serve as a vital baseline against which the current year’s reported decline is measured, illustrating the impact of ongoing public health interventions within the district.
