The Justice Forum, JEEMA, spokesperson, Swaib Kaggwa Nsereko, has today issued a stern call to opposition parties, urging them to critically reform their internal candidate selection processes. Nsereko’s appeal comes as a direct response to what he describes as a growing and alarming wave of defections, where numerous opposition figures are increasingly crossing over to the ruling National Resistance Movement, NRM. He warned that this trend poses a significant and immediate threat to the overall credibility and long-term stability of opposition politics. This critical situation, Nsereko emphasized, is particularly concerning as the country steadily approaches the crucial 2026 general elections, potentially undermining the opposition’s ability to effectively compete and represent its constituents.
