The National Union of Lawyers, Judicial Officers and Allied Workers, known as NULJAW, has issued a strong call for the government to urgently address the escalating problem of widespread unemployment, persistently low salaries for workers, and the critical absence of a legally established minimum wage. These factors have regrettably compelled many Ugandans into precarious informal jobs, offering meager pay for their basic survival.
