Meanwhile, President Samia Suluhu Hassan was officially declared the winner of the presidential contest, securing an overwhelming 98 percent of the total votes cast. This announcement, however, has been met with a backdrop of serious and persistent allegations of widespread irregularities throughout the entire electoral process, further compounded by disturbing reports of state brutality against citizens.
