The devastating toll includes three young children, all from a single family, highlighting the profound impact on local communities in Bukwo and Kween districts. Furthermore, authorities are actively searching for several other residents who remain unaccounted for after the earth movements. These overnight landslides have not only claimed lives but have also severely disrupted essential infrastructure. Key transportation routes connecting various parts of the affected Bukwo and Kween districts have been completely cut off, rendering travel difficult and impeding potential rescue and aid efforts. In response to the escalating danger and the unpredictable nature of the terrain, local authorities have issued fresh and urgent evacuation warnings. These advisories are aimed at safeguarding residents in vulnerable areas, urging them to move to safer grounds to prevent further casualties as the situation remains precarious.
