President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has officially committed to intervening in the ongoing dispute between residents of Nakapiripirit district and the Uganda Wildlife Authority, commonly known as UWA. The Head of State’s promise comes amidst serious allegations from the local community regarding harassment and significant property destruction attributed to UWA personnel. President Museveni has further pledged to personally engage with local elders from Nakapiripirit. This crucial meeting is intended to facilitate a comprehensive dialogue aimed at identifying and implementing a lasting and equitable solution to the long-standing grievances.
