In a decisive move to uphold infrastructural standards within the region, the Ntungamo District administration has officially rejected a consignment of more than 300 school desks that were found to be of substandard quality. Addressing the issue during a formal inspection, the Ntungamo District Vice Chairperson, Asuman Kigongo, issued a stern and unequivocal warning to all contractors currently engaged in district projects. Mr. Kigongo emphasized that the local government remains firmly committed to ensuring value for money and will not, under any circumstances, tolerate the delivery of poor-quality work or the implementation of substandard projects that fail to meet the established technical specifications. This firm stance serves as a clear signal to all service providers that the district is prioritizing the durability and safety of educational furniture for the benefit of local students.
