The Bishop of the South Ankole Diocese, the Right Reverend Nathan Ahimbisibwe, has issued a formal and urgent appeal to all Christians to prioritize robust disease prevention measures. This call to action comes amidst growing public apprehension and widespread concerns regarding the recent Ebola outbreak currently affecting parts of the Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and neighboring regions in Uganda. Bishop Ahimbisibwe delivered this significant message while presiding over a spiritual ceremony today, during which he officially confirmed 355 Christians into the faith. The Bishop emphasized that while spiritual growth remains paramount, the physical well-being of the congregation is equally vital, urging the faithful to remain vigilant and strictly adhere to health guidelines to safeguard their communities from the threat of the virus.
