In a significant development reported here at Radio Ankole 99.3 FM, the Chief Justice of Uganda, His Lordship Flavian Zeija, has officially called upon the central government to prioritize and increase the budgetary allocation provided to the Judiciary. The Chief Justice emphasized that this urgent financial intervention is absolutely necessary to effectively address the persistent and growing backlog of cases that continues to burden our court systems. Furthermore, His Lordship highlighted that such an increase in funding is a critical step toward enhancing the overall efficiency of the legal sector and ensuring that every citizen across the country enjoys improved, timely, and equitable access to justice.
