President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has issued an update regarding his recent activities, confirming his movement from Buhweju to the district of Ibanda. During his visit, President Museveni observed that the residents of Ibanda possess a vivid memory of a period when their peace was significantly disrupted. He specifically referred to the historical disturbances caused by the Allied Democratic Forces, or ADF, rebels. These insurgent groups, known to have operated from their strongholds within the Kamwenge forest, were responsible for creating considerable insecurity and unrest, a past experience that remains clearly etched in the minds of the Ibanda community.
