The Federation of Uganda Football Associations, widely known as FUFA, has officially announced the approval of a comprehensive series of sweeping amendments to its governing statutes. This significant regulatory shift comes as the football governing body works with great urgency to ensure full compliance with the newly enacted sports governance framework established by the government of Uganda. As part of these extensive structural adjustments, the federation has confirmed a strategic move to transition away from the Lausanne-based Court of Arbitration for Sport, commonly referred to as CAS. This decision marks a pivotal moment in the administration of Ugandan football as the federation accelerates its efforts to harmonize its internal legal operations with the evolving requirements of the national sports landscape.
