The Uganda People’s Defence Forces, commonly referred to as the UPDF, has officially announced the commencement of a major nationwide recruitment exercise. This significant military undertaking is scheduled to be conducted extensively across all districts within the borders of Uganda. The recruitment process is slated to begin on July 20, 2026, and will continue through to August 1, 2026. During this period, the military leadership is formally inviting all qualified and patriotic Ugandan citizens to step forward and offer their services to the nation. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply for positions within the force, which encompass opportunities in both regular military roles and various professional capacities, ensuring a diverse and capable intake for the national defense sector.
