In a significant development for the national energy sector, the Minister for Energy and Mineral Development, Honorable Ruth Nankabirwa, has officially moved to reassure all Ugandans regarding the continued stability of fuel supplies across the country. Addressing concerns about potential shortages, Minister Nankabirwa confirmed that the relevant government authorities have successfully secured a robust volume of fuel reserves, which are now projected to last for a period exceeding fifty days. Providing further technical details to support this positive outlook, the Minister announced that a substantial consignment consisting of 119 million litres of fuel has successfully arrived at the port of Mombasa. This strategic influx of petroleum products is expected to bolster domestic availability and maintain consistent distribution channels throughout the nation in the coming weeks.
