The current Ntungamo District returning officer, Mr. Latif Ngonzi, has officially been transferred from his position here in Ntungamo. This significant administrative decision sees Mr. Ngonzi moving to the Electoral Commission’s central headquarters, situated in Kampala, the capital city. His relocation marks a notable adjustment in the leadership structure responsible for overseeing electoral activities within our district. In light of Mr. Ngonzi’s transfer, the Electoral Commission has promptly announced new appointments to ensure continuity and efficiency in Ntungamo’s electoral administration. Mr. Charles Wafula has been designated as the new Ntungamo District returning officer, stepping into this pivotal role. Furthermore, to provide essential support and assist in the execution of electoral duties, Ms. Elizabeth Mirembe has been appointed as the deputy returning officer for Ntungamo District.
