Under the terms of this new arrangement, the total number of security staff will be halved, dropping from the current figure of 400 officers down to a streamlined force of 200. This administrative move is being framed as a vital cost-cutting initiative, which has been meticulously designed by both institutions to lower overall operational expenditure and ensure more efficient management of public resources within the parliamentary security framework.
