The 12th Parliament of Uganda is officially scheduled to convene tomorrow for the fourth sitting of the First Meeting of the First Session. During this highly anticipated legislative session, members of parliament are expected to turn their full attention toward a significant government proposal. Specifically, the lawmakers will be tasked with the formal consideration of a government request seeking authorization to borrow approximately Shs733.7 billion. This substantial financial allocation is intended to provide the necessary funding to support and execute Phase II of the national Solar Powered Irrigation systems project, a critical initiative aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity across the country.
